My favorite work to create is mixed media art using found materials, exploring texture through layered surfaces and experimental techniques. I’m drawn to transforming overlooked objects into pieces that engage with environmental and feminist themes while inviting curiosity, reflection, and connection. I’m especially passionate about creating public installations, while also enjoying the challenge and intimacy of individual paintings and sculptures.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration from everyday experiences, overlooked objects, and the natural world. I’m especially interested in the textures, patterns, and quiet stories that often go unnoticed, and I seek creative potential in ordinary materials and moments. Time spent outdoors and close observation of my surroundings continually shape and inform my work. Reflecting on gender roles and relationships also serves as both a source of inspiration and a form of catharsis within my artistic practice.
What would you do with $25,000?If awarded $25,000, I would invest in art supplies, tools, and equipment to expand my creative possibilities and support larger-scale projects. The funding would also help cover studio rent, providing the stability and dedicated space needed to continue developing and sharing my work with the community. This investment would directly support my artistic growth and strengthen my ability to create meaningful, accessible work that fosters connection, reflection, and engagement.
