I started to create art for therapy purposes because I had a problem with alcohol. So instead of drinking, I paint. It fulfills my desires.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Whimsical, fun, vibrant, landscapes, country barns, skies, sunsets, sunrises, waterfalls, animals, rainbows, my new genre lately has been more graffiti art driven with the bright fluorescent colors. I love fluorescent yellow in particular to paint with because it is very transparent or opaque. Considering fluorescent.yellow is the hardest color to produce in the color spectrum it gives me that challenge I yearn for. I prefer acrylic over oil paint due to drying time and patience..
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration comes from my late father who owned two galleries in Greenwich, Connecticut “Seven Bridges Foundation”even though he’s no longer with us he still inspires me every day to be better as an artist and as a person. I believe you can see my personality through my paintings.. I also find inspiration from other people who are also artists. Although I’m self-taught, my progression has grown steadily and vastly. Once I start painting, especially at night I can’t stop. It is an addiction..
What would you do with $25,000?I would use $25,000 to start up my own business creating fine art that are custom and personal creations. I would use the money to set up booths at art fairs displaying my art. My whole goal is to make people happy through my art. I love seeing the “wow factor On peoples faces”! That is what definitely drives me to become a better artist every day the more I paint the better I get.
