I love to paint, make prints and draw. I find mixed media is a way for me to play with disparate ideas and imagery to uncover hidden meanings from the arbitrary combinations of paint, paper, text, ink, pastels and graphite. I am always aware of the formal principles and elements of design. Composition, composition composition! I Improvise and love the aspect of play and the moments of surprise when a work reveals itself.
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere, from the everyday to travel, new experience and occasional teaching opportunities.
What would you do with $25,000?Rent a new studio. I love working on large canvases and my current studio is a challenge. I get the work done but think my work woul improve with the ability to have multiple surfaces going at once. I need running water in studio. I would also take more workshops.
