I love to transform my truths and emotions into connection, expressing ideas from a deeper current flowing through me into form.

I am drawn to the size and boldness of oil on canvas. The freedom of large brushes that sweep across the canvas. I am drawn to the human figure as a way to express connection, truths and emotion. My work explores themes of transformation, personal insights, and life itself. I like to include light or the sun as a reoccurring element. In addition, animals especially birds, express the essence of the soul's freedom and possibility.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in nature, the human figure and my personal inner shifts and realizations. Color, changing light and actually "seeing" come into play. Life is a dance and my dance develops on canvas. The first layer of paint inspires the next, and so on. With each new insight or shift in understanding, images form in my mind. Shaping my life, my efforts and my creations. I am inspired by the present moment as it unfolds.
What would you do with $25,000?If I received $25,000, I would invest in my studio, lighting and art supplies. I would then be able to create more consistently and freely. I would use it to support my painting practice and it would give me ample time to focus on my creative work. It would allow me to move into a part-time position which gives me dedicated studio time.
