Janine LaValley

I have always created art and knew I wanted to work as an artist. I like to share what I see and love though painting and photography.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

Photography of nature, skies & weather, flowers, mushrooms, landscapes and animals. Watercolor and acrylic paintings of pets, animals, historic buildings and landscapes.

Where do you find inspiration?

All around me. The Eastern Shore of Maryland has incredible beauty, nature and wild ponies. At home we have a farm, flower gardens, rescue horses and other animals domestic and wild that share our life. Each sunset is more amazing than the day before. The lighting here is incredible. I have supportive long time friends in the arts.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would like to further the reach of my art work and build a little mini gallery and shop on our property. Perhaps teach watercolor again in the gardens and make the farm a little artist retreat. We have a short term rental apartment, where people could stay and create.
