I create art to relax and forget world problems. I have always loved color, shapes of things and styles unique to each artist.

I love painting animals but I kind of fly by the seat of my paints. For instance I may see an old windmill as I drive down the road. I enjoy painting flowers especially Bluebonnets, the state flower of Texas. I don’t do a lot of modern art but I like it. Landscapes with old barns or mountain are fun too. I’ve down a few portraits but I haven’t been very confident with those so far. I’m learning.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere. Just driving down a street, watching TV, magazines, photos, from conversations with friends and other artists, art created by someone else when they use a technique that I’d like to try. I have to write down new ideas because so many pop into my head and I don’t want to forget them for later. Sometimes even before I finish a piece, my brain is already planning what’s next. I’ve always loved colors. I’ve been rambling but I hope that I’ve answered your question.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d buy a car. I’m a recent Cancer survivor and I still have many follow up appointments. I wouldn’t spend all of it on a car because I’d be happy with an older model as long as it’s reliable. The rest I’d share with my son and I’d set up a trust fund for my granddaughter. I’m a simple person.
