I love to create art because it is one of the purest forms of self expression that I know of. To turn what was once an idea, into a reality.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create would have to be my mixed media stencil works, or any other mixed media works that I get my hands on. From painting different ideas onto the bottom of old skateboards, to whatever my mind can come up with on canvas. Different mixed media works have been my favorite for as long as I can remember.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration both inward and outward. From whatever my mind is thinking about at the time, to random patterns, on old walls of peeling paint. The inspiration is endless. Music, skateboarding, other artworks, to whatever my imagination can come up with. Inspiration is all over the place, as long as you keep an open mind. And embracing my surroundings, and exploring my imagination, has helped me to stay inspired as an artist. Even through some of the darkest of times.
What would you do with $25,000?Well, I would be lying if I said I wouldn’t treat myself a little! Especially given that I’ve been battling epilepsy these last 10 plus years. And I would be sure to use it help ease the stresses of some monthly expenses. As well as making sure to help donate to the epilepsy foundation. And of course, I would make sure to be generous with how much I threw in my savings, for future art projects.
