Art for me is how I process life. It allows me to focus and breakdown my experiences and feelings into something tangible.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I collect and assemble found objects and then draw in them through various processes and media. My practice is mostly figurative or portraiture with surrealist or dadaist elements.
Where do you find inspiration?I find most my inspiration comes from the individuals I've met throughout my life. I'm interested in understanding what truly makes them unique. The human genome isn't infinite and we all have shared experience, but no two people come into the world during the same place or time. Our perspectives, personalities, ect are shaped both through the collaboration of our nature and nurture from that point till the end constantly changing.
What would you do with $25,000?I'd like to travel. I've had the chance to to to far off places a time or two. I'd like that travel to be tied to an artist residency but regardless of that new experiences are the life blood of creativity.
