I meet the energy of destruction with the energy of creation & creativity. I create art to reveal my inner world to myself & make an impact.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Currently, mixed media on board or canvas. Soul lead and healing through the process of the art’s becoming through me, I feel grounded, free and relief from the tyranny of self centered fear. Authentic, vulnerable and kind of weird. I like that.
Where do you find inspiration? It has been a cultivated practice to see as an artist. To create from that space. I am inspired by so many other artists. My current mentor, Zoë Cohen. I love Rauschenberg and diebenkorn. I love basquiat. Erin Royce. I love art with a message like Sheppard fairy. I’m inspired by nature, doing hard things, my own healing journey. I focus on connection and belonging. I try new things. Curiousity is the river that runs through my life and creative practice.
What would you do with $25,000?Ok ok OKAY I’m so excited !!! I would make or commission some shadow box frames for some of my paintings, make prints and cards for the people, get art supplies, expand my studio space, open an art gallery (there are many amazing local artists to share space with!), get back into public and community art, have less pressure to survive and shift focus to CREATING, take my son to visit colleges, believe in abundance, believe in the power of creativity, and you know, change the world. Dream big!
