I create art in order to explore identity, discuss social topics and political issues.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’m a multidisciplinary artist. I love to draw, pencil to paper. It’s how I got started and it’s really enjoyable to get ideas out with sketches and different ideations. I also love creating digital illustrations. I mix my skills in photography, editing and my knowledge of acrylic painting to create pieces. I use Procreate on my iPad due to how intuitive it is. I also like to craft / sculpt using recyclable objects and materials.
Where do you find inspiration? The main inspiration for my art is music and my personal view points and experiences with life. I illustrate songs in order to express my identity, understand my emotions/feelings, and discuss political and social topics.
What would you do with $25,000?My dream is to open an art studio. I want it to be a place where people can come to utilize a multitude of resources in order to further their knowledge and experience through the arts. (Visual Arts, Music, Theatre, Dance etc.) I would host exhibitions, workshops, and other festive and educational events for the community. If I were to win the $25,000, it would be invested into my dream, my family, and my community.
