"I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free"
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to draw/paint women I love to tap into my femininity and portray how delicate yet strong women are. Women are so beautiful. The style I would say is a mix of vintage and whimsy.
Where do you find inspiration? When I went to the Vatican in Rome for my 15th birthday, something clicked. I was mesmerized, looking at Michelangelo’s paintings. My parents quite literally had to drag me out. When I’m going about my day and i see beautiful objects or people, my mind is automatically trying to find an interpretation or a way to make this into a painting. I want to capture the beauty of the world, capture the beauty of the simple things.
What would you do with $25,000?My parents have sacrificed so much for me to be put through school. They’ve really been a backbone and so supportive of my love for painting and art. With $25,000 I would take care of them like they have been for me. My mother loves to travel and that’s something we bonded over. It would be amazing to go back to the Vatican or explore other art around the world together.
