I love creating art because it allows me to lose myself completely. It’s meditation, self-discovery, and connection through emotion/reaction

I’m drawn most to abstract expressionism with strong influences from character-driven graffiti and street culture. I like work that feels emotional, imperfect, and alive, pieces that carry movement and energy rather than rigid structure. I work across a variety of surfaces and mediums including acrylic on canvas, pencil, oil paint pens, wood, paper, and felt markers. For me, the material matters less than the feeling behind it. I’m always chasing honesty in the work.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration comes from everywhere if you’re paying attention. I find it in city streets, nature, old textures, conversations, music, animals, and especially people. A lot of my work explores portraiture through an abstract lens, trying to capture emotion, memory, or spirit rather than actual likeness. I’m also deeply inspired by artists who create fearlessly and stay true to their voice over time. I think inspiration is less about searching and more about remaining open to the world around you.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the opportunity to fully dedicate myself to my craft and create a body of work for a solo exhibition. So much of an artist’s energy can go toward simply surviving, rent, bills, and responsibilities. Having that support would create the time and space to focus deeply on growth, experimentation, and storytelling through art. I would also invest in canvases, paint, and materials that would allow me to push the work further and create without limitation .
