I create to give form to what’s internal - so it can be seen, felt, and understood by others
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create layered wood relief sculptures and paintings that blend geometry with organic landscapes. Each piece builds physical depth through stacked forms, light, and color. My work is rooted in architecture but driven by emotion, often exploring balance, transformation, and what I think of as the “topography of the soul.”
Where do you find inspiration? My architecture background influences how I think about structure, layering, and space. I’m inspired by the Pacific Northwest, natural patterns, and geometric forms, often blending clean lines with organic textures. A lot of ideas come from studying how light, depth, and material work together to create a sense of movement in a piece.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I'd invest in growing the Warehouse District Art Hop in Eugene, Oregon, which I helped create. As a gift to the community - expanding outreach, supporting participating artists, and developing a small residency program. I would also invest in equipment and materials to create large scale work in my studio, pushing the physical and experiential limits of my artwork
