I can’t not create art- it’s just what I does 🕺🏻.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Quirky paintings that make people smile... A singular tiny pufferfish lost on a large canvas. Albert Einstein on a children's swing wearing fluffy slippers. Farm animals beautifully painted but the eyes are hidden behind a coif of Mongolian wool. I enjoy making fun mixed media pieces which showcase my skill as a painter and my signature technique of adding texture through glass, mirror, or fur.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspo via dreams while sleeping or daydreaming. New glass or unusual materials also trigger ideas. Most concepts arrive when my mind is quiet and surrounding environment still, such as walking in the woods or sitting at a beach, or even just the rare occasion when my house is empty. However, I love really LOUD music and I'm sometimes energized with inspiration after some blasting some great tunes.
What would you do with $25,000?I would be investing in more freedom to paint what I want, instead of what fits best into my car. The cash could be a nice down payment on a bigger vehicle so I can make and transport larger works to my art shows and still have room for my adult son with autism to ride along.
