I create art because it’s how I breathe. It’s my lifeline—four decades of creating are what keep me alive.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Subterranean, anti‑establishment work rooted in the lived experience of a person of color.
Where do you find inspiration? From the full spectrum of human emotion and an almost compulsive need to release what I carry inside.
What would you do with $25,000?I would travel to Germany to reunite with my daughter after ten years. From that experience, I’d return deeply inspired to create hundreds of new works—particularly in bronze. Money, to me, exists for my daughter and for art, fashion, music, and creative expression. And if I’m being honest, I’d also take a moment to be a little indulgent—visiting Amsterdam, enjoying cannabis, and spending time at the Van Gogh Museum.
