Jay Decker

I paint with oil on canvas. I push the limits of color I see in my reference photos with the goal of producing impressionistic realism.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

I love to paint Native Americans, animals and landscapes.

Where do you find inspiration?

I get inspiration from reading books about Native Americans and reading the Bible. I have been a photographer since high school so I have way more awesome photos than I could ever paint in a lifetime. I have also learned to use AI to create images I have been thinking about.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would paint more and probably open a gallery for my work. I would also travel and participate in more art shows. And pay off my truck!
