I took up art to relieve stress from my job, and as an aid in recovering from brain surgery. Art is an outlet to purge the darkness inside.

Abstract is my favorite type of art. I have no boundaries, no restrictions, no rules. I'm free to let my mind and emotions wonder. My pieces usually morph from one idea to another as I paint. It starts out one way, and the end product is often a surprise, even to me.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration for me, comes from life, and what I observe around me. The small things, like the colors I see, the shades, textures, etc. Nature plays a big part too. From animals, to beaches, waves, mountains and desert, to actual locations and structures, you can find lots of inspiration. And people. I observe them and pick up lots of ideas. I love to look at the works of other artists, and their techniques. With art, you are always learning. Music sets the stage for me as well. I get lost n art.
What would you do with $25,000?I started off purchasing more materials for art as I sold pieces. I would definitely use any money to upgrade the quality of canvas, paint and other materials I expected to use. I would use it to develop and push my art to the forefront, with the goal of being able to make artwork affordable for anybody to own. Plus, I would like to have workshops available to help teach kids, and older adults to enable them to reach into themselves and bring out their hopes and dreams, through art.
