Every piece begins as a moment—every decision shaping something that will outlast me. Glass has a permanence that I’m drawn to

I work across a range of glassblowing techniques, but I’m especially drawn to bringing those methods into the world of marbles. There’s something about that scale—small, intentional, intricate—that keeps me coming back. Alongside marbles, I create beadwork, sea turtle pendants, and small vessels, all through lampworking. It’s the hands-on nature of the flame and glass that keeps it my favorite medium.
Where do you find inspiration? My connection to glass started early, watching an artist at work in Branson. From that point on, I saw glass differently—it became something I was always pulled toward. Over time, inspiration has shifted. While I still admire and learn from other marble artists, much of what drives me now comes from the places this craft has taken me, and the people—especially family—who’ve been part of that journey.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest directly back into the work—expanding my studio capabilities, securing high-quality materials, and covering the costs that come with sharing the work more widely through shows and festivals. It would give me the ability to push further into new techniques and more ambitious pieces, while also creating stability that lets me focus more fully on the craft. Beyond the studio, it would support my family in meaningful ways, one of those ways is the purchase of a baritone sax for my son
