I create art as an extension of myself and others. To bring everyone together through shared struggles and to share love.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art is something that can visually inspire or move those who see it without needing words to get the story or point across to the viewer. I love to push the boundaries of what is and isn't acceptable as an artist by portraying all bodies, shapes, sizes, disabilities, and identities. By doing so, I can hope to bring communities together of all ages just by being able to see someone that looks like them or shares the same struggles as they do.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration is everywhere and in everything if one's mind is creative enough and not bound by social limits to explore. I may spot someone with beautiful, unique features and incorporate them in my works somehow, or doodle them to help get my creative juices flowing. As someone with a broad taste of all things, my primary influences draw from overseas content (Korean, Thai, Chinese), animated projects (anime, cartoons, etc), poems, and even books I have read or am currently reading.
What would you do with $25,000?I'd treat my mother to thank her for all her hard work, for continuously pushing me as my supporter, and for always believing in my talent, even when I couldn't believe in myself. The next thing I would do is donate to no-kill shelters and rescues. Even though my current goals in life are to focus on my medical, physical, and mental challenges, I would always be sure to give to those in need, as I know someone could always use the help more than I.
