Love to create art bc it connects me with ppl. I usually paint portraits & I love being able to embody a person in a light that is timeless

Realism. I focus on portraits. I have done a lot of memorial pieces within the last couple years and I’ve grown to love them because not only am I getting to connect with a person or with a family. I get to paint a life and make it last forever and it’s so beautiful to be able to do that. It’s also an honor to be trusted with something so delicate.
Where do you find inspiration?Since I paint portraits, I find my inspiration from people. Everyone and everything that I engage with all my experiences. What I eat. What I breathe, anything that I touch. EVERYTHING is a part of my creating experience and I love it. I might be a crazy person to say this, but the best inspiration comes from the hardship and lessons I’ve gone thru. Because if you go through them, the right way, those lenses that you get from those experiences are what make the most amazing art.
What would you do with $25,000?Complete honesty I lost my apartment last yr May 2025 & I have just been a little displaced since then. I’ve been doing better but the economy in LA does not make it easy, let alone for an artist so I would just really use it to get back onto my feet & be able to focus solely on my art because I’ve had to get multiple jobs outside of my art/tattooing. This past yr has been very humbling & very grateful for the lessons but I look forward to being able to make my art my main focus again.
