I get lonely. I think all of us might be lonelier these days. My upbeat, whimsical paintings make for good company!

I enthusiastically paint the world that I want to live in! Often my pieces are sparked by happy memories from the distant past. Good memories become even more precious with time. I love painting people smack in the middle of happy times. My favorite art to create celebrates & honors what we all want the most: genuine, wonderful connections with each other. I love when my paintings tell a story. I like to add in some magical realism just for fun! Making paintings is way of cherishing.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration EVERYWHERE but especially in: People watching, thrift shops, weddings and parties, old Sears catalogs, dog parks, vintage postcards, comedy shows, other artist's instagram posts, cleverly written books, art supply stores, all flowers and animals, old Dutch paintings...and in answering these questions.
What would you do with $25,000?With a about a third of the prize money, I would throw a big "group art show" party for artists in our back yard, and I would also visit Paris to roam the Musée d'Orsay. I would donate the rest of the cash to my favorite after school program for kids in Los Angeles: A Place Called Home.
