I love to create abstract art. Usually based on my feelings, an experience I am trying to understand , whether it’s from a moment, a day, or something that’s stayed with me longer. Creating helps me self-regulate. It takes the chaos in my mind and turns it into something quieter, something I can sit with. My brain is always moving—questioning everything: who, what, why, when, what if. Without an outlet, it becomes overwhelming. Art gives it somewhere to go.

My biggest source of inspiration is real life. Working as an ER nurse, I’m constantly surrounded by people in intense and unpredictable moments. Every shift brings new emotions, new stories, and so many “what ifs.” At the end of the day, we’re all just trying to heal or understand ourselves in some way. Art is how I do that. It allows me to express everything that feels messy or unresolved inside me. I am always asked “What is it? What does it mean?” It is me!

It would give me the freedom to invest more time, resources, and materials into my work. I want to start creating larger-scale pieces—work that people don’t just look at, but step into. Something immersive that pulls you into my world and lets you experience those emotions with me. This opportunity would allow me to push my limits and explore how far I can take my ideas if given the space to do it. I want to invite people into my messy imagination and let them find their own meaning within it.
