I don’t paint what I see, I paint what I feel. I work through grief, loss, love, inspired by nature and animals-spirit guides.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create is nature-based, whimsical, and deeply meaningful. I love to include the community in projects. Kids and adults. I love creating with acrylic paint on canvas, outdoor walls and my body. In addition, I love magical nature inspired pieces inspired by creeks, red rocks, and tiny hidden worlds using wooden fairy houses as the base.
Where do you find inspiration?Rooted in the landscape of southern Utah, my work draws inspiration from the red rocks, waterways, and local wildlife, creating a strong sense of place within each experience. By combining art, nature, and community engagement, I aim to create meaningful opportunities for connection, healing, and shared creative expression. My work centers on creating community-based art experiences that are accessible, inclusive, and rooted in connection.
What would you do with $25,000?The Fairy Creek Community Art Trail. Imagine the main drag (or designated area) transformed into a living, community-built art experience. What it includes: * Handcrafted wooden fairy houses installed along a trail, trees, or natural features * Each one created or co-created by community members during your workshops * Painted stones, tiny doors, and story elements added over time- can be visitors/tourist and locals Visitors can add to it (paint a stone, leave a note, attend a class)
