Taking photos helped save my life, has kept me from spiraling further down dark paths, has given me means of escape, has taught me patience.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My art is photography, I have 2 very different favorite types of photos I like to capture. One would be to capture the pure, raw, candid photos of real life moments with parents and their kids, the moments that seem to pass by in an instant but stay in your heart for years to come. And the second would be wildlife photography, the patience needed to get just ONE great, beautiful shot is very rewarding.
Where do you find inspiration?Nature is my biggest inspiration, seeing the story of an animals life through its eyes or actions that I get to capture. Those small moments that to some might feel mundane. Capturing those small moments helped take me out of a deep depression.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won $25,000 I would be able to invest in a new camera, lens and travel. Create an opportunity to learn new cultures and see animals i would never get the chance to see in my homeland. Finally take a shot at starting my own photography business to make those small fleeing moments permanent for families. And invest in a portable printer to go to children's hospitals to get some shots for families that are going through a rough time to give them the happy moments to keep forever free of charge
