Painting is how I process and communicate the world. My work is my voice for the feelings and emotions I struggle to speak. It is my voice.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create are paintings. I love to keep my paintings simplistic to allow the colors to portray emotional and powerful messages.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from everyday life. It's those moments that words just can't express - the grief, the sadness, the joy, the bonds we create with others and with nature, the roles and journeys we all have throughout our lives.
What would you do with $25,000?Oh my goodness! I would be beyond ecstatic to receive $25,000! The first thing I would do is thank whoever honored me such a wonderful opportunity. Then I would invest in my art beginning with my studio space. Currently, I cannot paint during the winter as my studio does not have heat. Next, I would invest in new supplies such as paintbrushes. Although I do love and am quite attached to my brushes from high school and college, I think it is time for those brushes to be replaced.
