Art has been an outlet for me to express the struggles of my mental health. In an abstract way. It helps heal, and be vulnerable.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art is chaos. A mixture of painting, writing, pastels. Abstract. My work is usually a stream of consciousness, my internal insecurities, my anxiety, depression, my ocd. All of the jumbled voices in my head, brought to life in an abstract way onto canvas, or really anything. Allowing for others to interpret their own feeling.
Where do you find inspiration?Through many different ways. People inspire me a lot. Other artists, my own mental health and mental health as a whole. Each person who has struggled with mental health, thrives and survives in different ways, and it’s inspiring to have the ability to open up and discuss how we all live our lives around our mental health.
What would you do with $25,000?My hope is to create a place for all ages to feel accepted especially if they’re struggling with mental health, or feeling like they are lost. A place for art and therapy and exploration. That’s where this would go. To show my work, show others works, and have a global discussion about art and mental health.
