Painting has been the one constant in my life that I can rely on. My immediate family are all artists so the confidence was instilled early.

I create scenes that tell a story, long or short. They relate to events in my own life, generally with a heavy veil. My favorite art to create comes as easily as sitting at the coffee table with markers as a kid in Indiana or as a high school student in Northern Michigan. The pressure is off.
Where do you find inspiration?I'm inspired by my own struggles with mental health. Turning the events in my psyche into something worthwhile and valuable is the best response to something inherently useless without effort.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would pay off a $1400 credit card debt, $4500 car loan, fix the driveway, buy a ton of oil paint, maybe rent a studio and invest some of it so I'm secure if any emergencies come up. If I lose health insurance coverage- I'll have that as a safety net.
