There are way more human emotions than there are words to express them adequately. For me, it is a way to express myself without speaking.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
For media, I love working with oil paints on canvas, but in terms of subject matter, I draw from inspiration in nature and dreams and I love to tie symbolism and color theory into my paintings. I also build furniture, make sculptures, paint murals and do faux finishing, and I love all of those mediums as well for creating more functional artpieces
Where do you find inspiration? In addition to being an artist, I am a full service interior designer, so I have a deep appreciation for architectural details and I am inspired by architecture, and nature and how shapes and colors appear and repeat themselves in so many life forms and in architecture
What would you do with $25,000?I have plans to build a mobile art gallery. I would use it to showcase all the creative things that I do as well as showcase art from other artists. With so many art galleries closing around the country, it is apparent that the old model is broken. However, there will always be a place and a need for original art. I think my design for the mobile art gallery is the answer to that. The gallery itself is marketable, so I would use the money to pursue the build and launch of the mobile gallery.
