Art for me is like a long walk in the woods. It is my way of processing hard things and of slowing down to appreciate the beauty around me.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I guess my style is largely surrealist. I am a huge fan of David Lynch and believe in living the Art life so I see art in all I do. Currently I am mostly painting amd I enjoy painting on a variety of surfaces from canvas to cardboard to seashells i also enjoy incorporating art into landscaping and design dragonfly perches, lizard habitats and pollinator gardens.
Where do you find inspiration?Sadly I bo longer live close to an art museum but I enjoy pouring through art books and viewing the works of others on social media platforms like Instagram , TikTok and YouTube. Sometimes seeing a color I really like, or a great photo will inspire me as well. Often I dont have a plan at all, just some thinking to do and some colors to play with.
What would you do with $25,000?I do most things out of my living room. I have some space that could be converted to an art studio which would make it easier to do big projects that cant be easily stored when they arent finished.
