I mainly make ceramic pieces in a kitch style. I do like learning new ceramic techniques and styles. I often enjoy incorporating sarcasm and humor when it comes to addressing more serious topics, adding a unique layer of commentary to my work to discuss topics that the public often views as a tough subject to discuss openly without argument or disagreement. This layer of commentary allows me to explore these themes in a way that invites conversation without conflict or discomfort.
Where do you find inspiration?I like to find inspiration with things I typically have strong options about. I often find that Ideas come to me when I empty my mind doing a mindless task and letting my brain wander. It's doing that process that has helped me with rethinking an idea or creating a new one.
What would you do with $25,000?I would further expand and update my studio space and love to go a university to get a bachelors degree in art. I hope to continue my exploration in the ceramic community, fostering new connections and further broadening my artistic skill set in the arts. While always remaining open to the endless possibilities that both the arts and design world offer.
