What is your favorite type of art to create?

Painting, sculpting, photography, mobiles with Encaustic (Painting with molten beeswax) is my favorite medium. Mixed media water-bath paintings are exciting and fun. I enjoy the challenges of site specific artwork and making screens with mixed media. Painting on furniture, wallpaper, fabrics, and floorcloths. Painting with molten beeswax with bioluminescent photo phosphorescent pigments and dried flowers with Swarovski crystals.

Where do you find inspiration?

The James Webb Telescope discoveries, Ancient Civilizations, Time, my teachers, my students, Frida (my beloved dog), and artists throughout history. Flowers, trees, gemstones magnified. Living on Lake Michigan, magic...nature and Chicago city energy.

What would you do with $25,000?

Have Dental work and purchase a 3D printer to make a Time Machine to save the planet.
