How odd it is that beauty is around us at all times you just have to pause, scan the horizons and you’ll find just that. A snap in time.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

I love poetry and taking pictures. Poetry is an expression that needs to come back to the forefront. Our voices are more important than ever. Expressions, a window into our true self. Photography is showcasing what I think is beautiful- the world around me. I see beauty in a candid gesture, nature swaying in the breeze or the depths of the land around us. The nature that encapsulates us all. Photography is myself, looking out my window- seeing the life as we know it, the special moments.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration where I feel an emotion, create a narrative or a case of curiosity. I love taking pictures with my camera that uses a smaller poloraid. It creates a dreamy effect on the picture and a touch of nostalgia. I record the places I visit and date on the bottom. A little keepsake in an album. It’s an old family tradition that inspires to keep my favorite memories alive and well. A little motif of me. The teachers that taught me to roll, take and develop film in a dark room.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would use it to apply to my student loans. I am going back to school to be a pathologist at the tender age of 35! It took me a while to believe in myself, but here I am. Knowledge is power and my dream of being like Dana Scully (X-Files) are finally closer! I would get more film, antique camera or anything analog. I want to preserve and create more in equipment of the 90s. My most precious items are of pictures and childhood films. Print multiple pieces of art in a 4x6 or heck, canvas it!
