A multidisciplinary artist, I am trained as a fashion designer, creative director, hand beader, but my favorite art is ceramics and candles. My ceramics candles has helped me battle imposter syndrome, loneliness & depression. It’s been my remedy as I search for beauty, meaning and rebirth.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes from this desire for rebirthing oneself as many times as you wish to find yourself. I am inspired by a cosmic Phoenix. Each flame is inspired by an ember of a phoenix who is in the process of rebuilding and rebirthing itself. It’s enchanting, uncomfortable and otherworldly all while reflecting beauty, light and fragrance. It also very functional too. I believe nothing should feel precious when you are living authentically.Beautiful things have impact too
What would you do with $25,000?I would create garments , art and build ceramics to extend my philosophy. I would rebuild my atelier where I can expand and build more ceramics and pottery that fit my new found aesthetic as a designer. I’m in New York City so I plan to start small and grow slowly as an artist rebirthing myself after years of being a hermit and struggling with my purpose in silence. I am ready to share what I’ve learned and inspire another movement in art & intentional design.
