It nourishes my soul, there’s plenty of people taking what they want from the world, I wanted to be rare and give part of myself back to it
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Truthfully my favorite type is if it’s going to be a gift for someone.. I work with various mediums… there’s a special part of heart and soul that goes into it knowing it’s intended for someone else’s joy! It’s a few extra hours to get the extra details because your envisioning how the recipient will cherish it.. if it’s pencil work I love portraits, tattoos I love “New School Designs” playing with line weight… woodworking I love engineering aspect and making it function, hidden drawers etc…
Where do you find inspiration?Sometimes it flows easily, from a colorful sign or graphic or just a epiphany of an idea that would be cool to create.. the challenge of creating something tangible from your head to something that physically exists is inspiring in its own sort of way. Nature is very inspiring, Car ride as a child I imagined riding my bike on the terrain as I looked out the window.. and it gave me a different vision of the landscape an even the urban city with geometrical shapes colors.. all played a part
What would you do with $25,000?Spend a little on upgrading some art supplies.. truthfully buy a few items that encourage more art.. I want to attempt more airbrushing/pinstripe motorcycle tanks etc.. I’d like to help the community, pay off the whole schools overdue lunch balances or something… perhaps take my 4 year old daughter to Disneyland to hopefully instill the sense of wonder and creativity in her.. save the rest
