Art is my soul. It brings clarity, balances life’s stress, and feels like a conduit for something divine.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I enjoy sculpting three-dimensional pieces, especially giving them a weathered, timeworn feel, as if they’ve existed for hundreds of years. I like to build a story into each piece, inviting the viewer to experience it and use their imagination to uncover its history.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m deeply interested in learning about different cultures, especially the folklore and spiritual beliefs that shape them. Whether it’s the traditions of remote African tribes or the enduring fascination with hidden people in Icelandic culture, I’m drawn to the stories and practices that reflect how communities understand the world. Exploring these perspectives allows me to build a deeper connection and a more meaningful understanding of cultures beyond my own.
What would you do with $25,000?I wish I had something more exciting to say I’d spend it on, but I’m focused on going back to school to finish my degree and paying down my debt so I can set myself up for a stronger future. It feels like I've been trying to fall forward for some time now, and $25,000 would provide real relief as I work toward my goals.
