Art has been a coping mechanism for my daughter & I. I also have an online store I draw designs then add to products to share my story.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite is traditional drawing with mechanical pencil, sketchbook, and alcohol based markers. I just bought a xpen drawing tablet to begin doing digital art as well. My favorite thing to draw is detailed caricatures but instead of bringing out people's worst features, I bring out their best features, with some of their favorite items so it really captures them and what they love.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes mostly from my family, and a desire to build others up around me through my art. Along with a way to express my creativity and whatever I'm feeling in the moment. Recently I've been using my art to tell my story, and I'm working on branching out to help others who may not have an artistic side, share their stories as well.
What would you do with $25,000?This may seem weird, but my family has been displaced a few times over the years, and we've been wanting to buy an RV with a loft for our daughter, so we don't ever have to worry about losing are home again. And be able to travel as well. So this amount would bring us a lot closer to that dream. Along with starting our own roofing company.
