Art is my therapy. I can let go of my problems for a little while and pour myself into creating something, and sometimes it even looks nice!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I like to start just playing with inks/watercolors for an abstract background. Then I block in a main subject with acrylics, and I add details and depth with oil paint. I always love trying different mediums and new challenges though, and have been known to hyperfixate on different crafts from sea glass mosaics to rock painting and everything in between!
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere! I like to paint the beauty in the everyday experiences people often overlook. Often I’ll listen to music and paint what it makes me feel, or I’ll paint my favorite fictional book characters.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d love to have my own studio where I can paint and teach children’s art classes as well!
