Remember the monster under the bed? I paint in wool as a felter and want to create Friendly Monsters we can snuggle up under.

Tapestry pieces and hanging, sculptural large-scale pieces. Hidden animals and shape shifters.
Where do you find inspiration? From the animals. We are human animals. Wool, from animals, is deep in our souls and non verbal communication is at the core of fiber arts. Touch is our first sensation in the womb. We felt before we were born. Wool is so tactile it brings us back.
What would you do with $25,000?I wish to build a tactile play area for all ages, filled with felted, gentle giants: Friendly Monsters, 5 foot high, elephant feet/cat-inspired creatures to bring play and comfort for all ages and sizes help humans understand their true scale in this big world.
