My favorite art to make is that which cuts through the heaviness and sparks something real—joy, tension, and raw feelings. Through mixed media, I let go of control and let the piece emerge, raw and unfiltered. It’s about freedom, impact, and creating something that hits, not just sits.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration hits me from both sides of reality—what I live and what I escape into. The everyday world seeps in through moments, emotions, and fragments I can’t ignore, while my dreams, stories, films, and books pull me somewhere deeper, stranger, and more alive. I spend a lot of time in my own imagination—it’s not a place I visit, it’s where I exist. Finding ideas isn’t the challenge, it’s choosing which vision demands to be seen. I follow instinct, chasing the visions that hit the hardest.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use this support to build something bigger than myself—uplifting artists in my community where the art scene is still new and under-resourced. At the same time, I’d expand my current home studio into a space that can hold larger ideas, more movement, and fewer limitations.
