Jessie Johnson

Jessie Johnson, aka JaCasso, is more than an artist he’s storyteller. I love creating art because it gives me a voice when words fall short.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

My favorite art to create is paintings that brings emotion, energy, and storytelling together in one powerful visual experience. I am drawn to bold, expressive pieces that feel alive—art that captures movement, passion, and real-life moments in a way that people can feel as soon as they see it. I especially enjoy creating artwork that reflects music, culture, and human connection, because those elements carry a natural rhythm and soul that translate beautifully into visual form.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in the everyday moments that most people overlook, the small details in life that carry emotion, energy, and meaning, like the way light hits a surface, the expressions on people’s faces, or the feeling of music moving through a crowded room that truly inspires my creative mind. I draw a lot of inspiration from music because it naturally connects to emotion and storytelling, and when I listen to different sounds, beats, and lyrics, I can almost see visuals forming in my mind,

What would you do with $25,000?

I would use 25,000 dollars as an opportunity to strengthen my foundation as an artist and take my painting to a higher level. First, I would invest in high-quality art supplies, including canvases, paints, brushes, and materials that allow me to create more detailed, professional work. Having the right tools would help me push my creativity further and produce pieces that truly reflect my vision. I would also use part of the money to create a dedicated studio space where I can work comfortably.
