I paint to expose the emotions we hide beneath performance — turning instinct, distortion, and vulnerability into visual truth.

My favourite type of art to create is art that exposes what people try to hide. I’m drawn to painting emotional tension, instinct, vulnerability, and the distortion that happens when we perform who we are instead of expressing what we truly feel. I love creating symbolic, emotionally raw pieces that feel honest, confrontational, and deeply human.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in emotions, human behavior, contradictions, dreams, instinct, and the tension between what people feel and what they show. Most of my ideas come from introspection, personal experiences, psychological states, and spontaneous thoughts rather than external references. I’m inspired by vulnerability, distortion, symbolism, and the hidden emotional worlds people carry beneath performance.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest it into expanding my artistic practice — creating larger works, improving my studio, experimenting with new materials, and dedicating more time fully to painting. I’d also use part of it to professionally document my work, build stronger exhibition opportunities, and continue developing my visual language without compromising authenticity for survival.
