I create art to show that true hero’s exist. They are the everyday people that continually battle it out to survive and fight to live.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favourite art is portraiture. That being said, my muse is everything that has a story of survival and fighting to stay alive or just merely to exist and get through each day or simply every hour. That could be anything from a plant, an animal, human or perhaps just a cityscape.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from being out in the world every day. Observing and feeling what is occurring around me at that moment in time. Every moment changes depending on what the pressure are at that precise second and it impacts everything and everyone differently. I aim so show that struggle to simply ‘be’ just a bit longer.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25000 i would do several things. * I would continue to use some funds to invest in myself in education directed towards learning new techniques, and further education in colour and composition and creating as art evolves with us * I would organize a day in which artists would gather at my studio to paint and laugh and talk ‘art’ and munch on goodies and coffee. A very dear friend once told me to always surround yourself with other artists to grow to become a better artist yourself.
