My dad was an artist. He passed when I was 14. Art has always connected me to him. Creating has always felt like something I needed to do💕

I love graphite on paper. I love the rawness of an idea in process. I love theatre too. I love movement portrayed in an image, or emotion captured in a scene. Creating something that moves someone, because the thing you created within itself has movement, I love that. I like poetry and photography as well. In visual art, I specifically really enjoy latex based and acrylic paints, to do things like furniture commissions and murals 🎨 Portraits are my favorite, as well as still life.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my surroundings. I grew up in the PNW, so beautiful nature and picturesque sunsets were a norm. I feel inspired by being blessed by that beauty. I also am highly inspired by relationships and loved ones. I am a mother and a wife, as well as a daughter and sister to some amazing people. I do my best to capture those fleeting feelings and moments. I love creating something that captures a sweet second and makes someone feel warm, loved, and seen.
What would you do with $25,000?I have an almost 2 year old daughter. My husband and I just moved back to my home state, Washington, after living ten years in Michigan. We moved to be closer to family while raising our daughter. We would use the money to help my mom renovate her home, and for the relocation costs for us from Michigan to Washington.
