Life can be seen as a poetic gift, and Art offers an expressive lens, or voice, for the emotions that surface within existence.

I enjoy photography and painting. There is a certain therapy in both, for me. I’ve found an unparalleled ‘flow’ of being simply in allowing myself to be an instrument, animated by the state a Taoist might call “no-mind” in both.
Where do you find inspiration?Although I’ve not yet attempted to control my abstract painting style to capture landscapes through en plain air, I find inspiration in Nature, I suppose is why photography also intrigues me. Expression of color, the sheer awe of an ever-shifting visual plane. The drama dependent simply on what angle the sun may be streaming, (or in light’s absence). Along with dancing and music, the paintbrush helps to regulate my nervous system, all components helpful for inspiration’s delivery.
What would you do with $25,000?I’ve not thought of being asked this question, so I haven’t a solid answer. I’m delighted though to dream up a response! Fortunately, I’m not in much debt, so, if I were to be at leisure with the sum, I suppose I would buy canvas and materials for larger paintings and also likely travel. More hot springs excursions, the revisiting of beaches, deserts and mountains with family, is where the dream of this question leads me. (Delightful thoughts, with or without the prize money!)
