I create to reveal whats hidden - the light inside people, the sacred inside the ordinary. Photography lets me make the invisible visible.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Immersive, large-scale work that pulls people out of their heads and into their bodies. I am drawn to portraiture and installation art that transforms space - where a viewer doesn't just look at the work, they'er held inside it. My favorite pieces exist at the edge of the personal and archetypal, where a single image can feel both intimate and universal.
Where do you find inspiration? In people. In the way emotion moves across a face before someone has words for it. In the polarity of being human - grief and desire, shadow and radiance, what is fleeting and what endures. Life itself is the source.
What would you do with $25,000?Fund a solo exhibition of Grief Split - a photographic series about embracing grief as a necessary part of being human. The $25,000 would allow me to realize the work at scale: large-format immersive printing, environmental installation design, and a full exhibition experience that doesn't just display images but surrounds the viewer in the emotional landscape of transformation.
