We’re all interconnected at an unconscious level. Bridging gaps in perception, awareness and eliciting emotional responses are my love.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Paintings as objects that speak in a language of color and texture and invite the viewer to inhabit as opposed to simply view.
Where do you find inspiration? My work is kinetic. I believe in an underlying energy and tension that runs through us all. Then I sense it in the material world. An overhanging bridge, a cambered beam. Stored energy in inert objects that mirrors untapped energy in people.
What would you do with $25,000?The majority of this would go to programs in Denver, Colorado that connect indigent communities with artistic resources for education in the arts. Finding fine art as an byproduct of architectural studies in High School saved my life and laid a foundation for a life long love of the arts. A small portion would go to replenish studio supplies and studio rent.
