What is your favorite type of art to create?

I love to create whimsical artwork out of my favorite wood, Manzanita. My artwork can be displayed outside or inside. There is always a bell on every piece. Sometimes antique bells sometimes just found bells. Each piece is completely different depending on the flow of the wood. I like when a piece makes a sound that reminds you of a loved one that has passed.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in the forests of Prescott Arizona and in thrift shops. I love to use found objects and reuse them in my art. Especially handmade beads or metal objects.

What would you do with $25,000?

Were I to win $25,000, I’d like to send $10,000 to my nephew with Crohn’s disease, so that he could go to a trade school and learn welding or something else that might interest him. Then I would like to put an exhaust system in my shop to remove dust from all the sanding that I do. And lastly, I would donate a large portion to our local non-profit art gallery to help with advertising expenses, the Mountain Artists Guild. They have been struggling quite a bit since Covid.
