I love the art of transforming subjects by doing their haircolor, cut, styling, wardrobe, photography & editing. Being able to change people’s appearances radically is an art form that ROCKS! I specialize in hair & beauty photography. Curating and crafting images gives me a sense of purpose and when I’m doing it, I’m in a flow zone and time stands still. It feels like what I was born to do.
Where do you find inspiration? That is a very good question. I don’t know what comes first the chicken or the egg? Sometimes I’m inspired by the subject that I’m going to shoot because I think they have a certain look, feeling, or vibe. Other times I am inspired by a piece of clothing that I see, or I might construct a headpiece, but basically I’m inspired by storytelling and I’m always looking and keeping my eyes open for inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?I began photography five years ago while going through stage three breast cancer. What started during one of the most challenging periods of my life became a source of strength, healing, and creative purpose. Because I live in a remote part of the world, much of my learning has been self-directed through online education, tutorials, and hands-on practice. I have embraced every opportunity to grow my skills independently. Doing the best I can with what I got! Wanna create more.
