Vision-impaired painter — VIVID BOLD COLOR. Expressive brushwork. I paint water, fire, and wild gardens. Warm and romantically wild.

Acrylic painting on canvas — bold, textural, expressive. I’m obsessed with painting water in every colorway: deep indigo, shimmering turquoise, rich violet, emerald green. Impressionist florals that feel like a garden in full bloom. Recently exploring gouache — flowers and butterflies. I’m also a violinist, so rhythm and movement live in everything I make.
Where do you find inspiration?I’ve traveled to all 50 states and most of the Canadian provinces. Food, music, and art speak the language of every region — and I collect all of it. Color shows up everywhere when you’re paying attention. I bring it all back to the canvas.
What would you do with $25,000?I am a water painter. My mum is from Mira, Nova Scotia — Cape Breton lives in my blood. We've been estranged for 12 years. Two years ago, I drove from Kansas to Cape Breton to stand on her land. I was held at the border, crying too hard to speak. Her mother, called Bunny, died when Mum was six—generations of women, missing their mothers. With $25,000, I would paint "Blood and Sea" - a Cape Breton water series. It's for Bunny, my mum, and for me.
