Since I was a child, I always loved to draw. As I grew up, I became fascinated with painting; color schemes are amazing.

Portraits and landscapes that I paint into photo backdrops. For 14 years, I have painted photo backdrops and exterior wall murals of creatures and monsters for Nightmare on 13th in Salt Lake City, Utah. That still decorate the Nightmare on 13th to this very day. I love throwing in a macabre edge to my paintings, I feel that I’m a natural with it.
Where do you find inspiration?I get inspired from Bob Ross because of his color schemes; he uses a lot of the analogous colors. Rembrandt is also a favorite of mine due to his macabre style. I learned a lot about the “glazing” technique through his art. Another artist I love is Holbein, he brought in realism into portraits during the renaissance time, when other artists were doing portraits that resembled Grecian statues. My inspiration of art is from current artists but mostly from hundreds of years ago.
What would you do with $25,000?I have been struggling to establish myself as a successful and independent artist. I would get a website and establish a booth at more local festivals. The money will help with more art supplies to do airbrush portraits and large canvases to do photo backdrops. Every year, the Scottish Festival and Highland Games in Salt Lake City, gives me a booth for free to display my photo backdrop of Eilean Donan Castle for customers to get free photo ops. Customers sometimes give me tips.
